From: 16:00 until 17:30

This is the year of trying out new things and coming out of certain comfort zones. This is why we are happy to announce our first series of activities within ‘Macademy’. This is focused on added educational value to the student experience. We aim to organise various activities to broaden or deepen knowledge in a multitude of subjects with our first three events focused on entrepreneurship under the name ‘The start-up series’. Here we invite three start-up companies to explain about how they started and what they do on separate three days respectively. This means that a single session will be fully focused on that specific start-up. We have invited different types of start-ups to diversify the knowledge that will be offered to you.

Below you will find an introduction of the third and final start-up in the series, Dapper Rhinos!

Session 3 - Dapper Rhinos

Ever since the takeover of the internet as the main world-connecting communication method, virtual data has become increasingly relevant. Platforms such as Facebook or Google, with billions of users have created markets of their own. Within Marketing, this has taken form in e.g. SEO (search engine optimalization) or SEA (search engine advertising) practices. This is how we arrive at our third start-up in the series: Dapper Rhinos. Founded in 2019, Dapper Rhinos has quickly emerged as a marketing agency ready to take over the market with expertise in online marketing strategies. Although SEO and SEA are two of the main optimalisation procedures, Dapper Rhinos also specialises in Conversion rate optimalisation and various forms of more traditional marketing.

Dapper Rhinos can be characterised as a young, no-nonsense, work-hard play-hard company. They don’t believe in gut feeling, but in data. This mantra echoes throughout their company, wherein they maintain a steady connection with clients and other interested parties through their social platforms, but also in the clients they have (e.g. Nationale Nederlanden; Kikkoman). They aim to take over by storm and they do not shy away from challenges. In their session, Tycho Luijten (Founder & CEO) will give insights into what it is like to run a growth hacking start-up as well as what the entrepreneurial journey can look like.
