    From Applications to Real Opportunities 

    MAEUR Career Days 2026 once again brought students and companies together for three exciting days filled with learning, networking, and career opportunities. From practical workshops to real interview experiences and an exclusive in-house visit, this year’s edition gave participants a comprehensive look into the professional world. 

    Day 1 – Preparing for Success 

    The first day of Career Days focused on helping students prepare for the recruitment process, starting with an interactive workshop hosted by TOPdesk. 

    During the session, participants gained valuable insights into how recruiters evaluate candidates and what makes an application stand out. The workshop covered essential topics such as structuring a strong CV, presenting personal strengths clearly, and avoiding common mistakes during interviews. Students also practiced answering typical interview questions and learned how to communicate their experiences effectively. 

    In addition, AIESEC hosted an engaging public speaking workshop. This session was highly interactive, allowing students to actively practice their skills through multiple exercises. One of the highlights was an open mic activity, where participants stepped out of their comfort zones and practiced speaking in front of an audience. 

    What made the day particularly valuable was the opportunity to look at the application process from the recruiter’s perspective while also strengthening communication skills. By understanding how companies assess candidates, participants were able to better position themselves and approach future interviews with more confidence.

     

     

     

    Day 2 – Speed Dating with Top Companies 

    The second day of Career Days was all about real-life interview experience. During the speed dating event, students had the opportunity to meet and interview with 10 leading companies in short, dynamic sessions. 

    Participating companies included L’Oréal, Mondelez, Henkel, Hilti, Gemeente Rotterdam, Colgate-Palmolive, Nederlandse Loterij, MediaMarkt, Secrid, and HousingAnywhere. Each participant followed a personalized interview schedule, meeting several companies in quick succession. 

    With limited time for each conversation, students had to make strong first impressions, communicate their motivation clearly, and demonstrate their potential within just a few minutes. The fast-paced format created an exciting and energetic atmosphere. 

    For some participants, the interviews opened the door to potential career opportunities, while others gained valuable feedback and insights into what companies look for in candidates. Regardless of the outcome, every student walked away with practical experience and increased confidence for future interviews. 

    Day 3 – Inhouse Day at Coolblue 

    Career Days concluded with an exclusive Inhouse Day at Coolblue, giving participants a behind-the-scenes look at one of the Netherlands’ most innovative companies. 

    During the visit, students attended three different presentations covering key areas of marketing: creative marketing, data marketing, and sales marketing. After each presentation, participants were actively involved in a corresponding marketing case, allowing them to apply what they had just learned in a practical setting. 

    Through these hands-on sessions, as well as informal networking moments, participants gained a deeper understanding of what it is like to work at a fast-growing and customer-focused organization. 

    The visit offered a unique opportunity to experience the company environment firsthand, ask questions to employees, and connect with professionals who shared their experiences and career journeys. 

    A Successful Edition of Career Days 

    Overall, MAEUR Career Days 2026 once again proved to be a valuable and inspiring event for students looking to explore their future careers. Over the course of three days, participants developed practical skills, connected with leading companies, and gained firsthand insights into the recruitment process.
