Welcome to the MAEUR Research Project, where EUR students join forces with Unilever to work out an interesting case. In teams of 4 to 5, they bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to the forefront. Read below for the details of the case:

"As Unilever Ice Creams proceeds to create world’s largest and leading Ice Creams company, we are seeking some dynamic, curious, entrepreneurial & passionate students with strong desire to make an impact. Unilever Ice Creams will form a standalone separate organization from Unilever effective Q3 ’25. This project provides an exciting opportunity to work & contribute part of the separate Ice Cream company and provide some strategic & killer deepdive that helps the company be more cool, agile, innovative & compete more effectively in key markets to drive topline growth & market shares in the broader fun money/snacking landscape.

Running from February 2025 until the beginning of April 2025 this project is open to any motivated third-year or master's students, with an interest in business administration, strategy, marketing, data analytics, economics, and/or communication.

All third-(/fourth-)year bachelor & master students  (academic year 2024-2025) will be able to apply for the MAEUR Research Project. 

The process

Beginning of February 2025: Preparation

The project will start with a kick-off meeting with the other participants and the first meeting with the company. During the kick-off meeting you will get to know each other and what project you will be working on for the upcoming period. By visiting the company you will know for whom you are conducting the research and all your questions can be answered.

Rest of February – End of March 2025: Research

You will start with the actual research halfway through February. During this phase of the project, knowledge and data is gathered about the company and/or the market.

End of March – Beginning of April 2025: Completion and reporting

The results of the research will eventually be combined and documented in a final deliverable (presentation). This deliverable must be submitted to the case company in April. To conclude your research, you will present your findings to the company representatives. 

What is expected from you? 

  • Attendance at offical project kick-off beginning of February
  • Weekly meetings with your group to work on the project
  • Weekly update meetings with the case company
  • Final presentation at the company in April

Workload

The project runs from February 2025 until April 2025. It will take approximately 8 to 10 hours per week, depening on the phase of the project. 

Looking for an extra challenge? Apply as Team Lead!

As a Team Lead, you will be the main contact person with MAEUR and the company you're working for. This requires excellent communication skills, providing structure, and keeping an overview of the project. Content-wise you deliver the same input as the rest of the team.
